TIPS TO MAKE YOUR ONLINE SESSIONS MORE FRUITFUL

In this time of pandemic and lockdown, most of you are attending online sessions, meetings, webinars, classes, etc.

Webinars have seen even more importance in the world since the COVID 19 outbreak, and even after the pandemic is over, it’s very likely that businesses will use online events as proper engagement points as they discover their benefits over physical events.

So I thought why not to give you tips to attend your online sessions more peacefully.

TIPS

1) Be in a straight posture

  • While attending online sessions I think a straight posture should be maintained to ensure that we are in pink of health and you will also be able to sit tirelessly for a longer period of time.

  • Your posture should be as shown in the above image and the most important thing to remember is that there should be a 90-degree angle while sitting.

2) Maintain a reasonable distance from the screen

  • Many of you also complain of a headache or eye pain after attending your sessions. That's because of an improper distance of your eye from the screen on which the webinar is going on.

  • The recommended distance that you should maintain while attending your online sessions is 40-75 cm. If you maintain this much distance from the device's screen then this will ensure good health to your eyes.

3) Sit at peaceful surroundings

  • From my perspective attending sessions from peaceful surroundings is the most important thing among all the points because if you will sit at a place where too much disturbance like music at high volume is playing; it is guaranteed that you will get disturbed but if we keep it aside and take an example of sitting at a peaceful surrounding in this case surely you will be able to concentrate on the session and attend your session more attentively.

4) Wear a headphone

  • As you saw in the 3rd point that I have talked about peaceful surroundings but there's one more solution if there is too much noise around you and there is no peaceful place where you can sit. Then headphones or earphones could be a better option for you to attend the session with more focus.

5) Clear your office or home of clutter

  • Whether the hosting of the event is going to take place at your office or from your home, just make sure you tidy up a bit. It’ll help keep you organized while taking on other steps in the setup process, but not only that, in case your webinar ends up using video, you’ll be showing your more professional side through a neat and tidy workspace.

  • This also means minimizing what audiences see through the camera, which means clearing your background and removing anything distracting. A trophy, for instance, maybe entirely professional looking in your office or home, but it may actually distract audiences from listening to you if you actually have interesting things in the background. So, keeping it a little bit boring might actually be helpful for your webinar to keep the focus on the speaker.

  • Also, this goes without saying, make sure the background doesn’t give away any personal information of yourself or others. This includes making the room far away from any work calls happening so no one on the webinar can eavesdrop, an unfortunate mistake we have seen before plenty of times

All the best for your future online sessions. I hope that they would be more fruitful and healthier than ever before.
